Start with an amuse-bouche of tuna tartare or avocado mousse, followed by your choice of lobster bisque or beet-cured salmon. Red Fox Inn & Tavern
This 18th-century inn will host a five-course “game & seafood dinner” on December 24th. Start the evening with a selection of starters, such as Oysters Rockefeller from the Rappahannock Oyster Company, followed by a lobster bisque, salad or beetroot with local cheese. After an intermezzo of cherry-cranberry sorbet, it’s time to enjoy the show’s real star – the entree. Gilbert’s will be open Christmas Eve from 3pm to 9pm with its full dinner menu featuring wood-fired steaks and seafood as well as a few specialties including a 12-ounce Kansas City strip pebret and 6-ounce center-cut filet mignon accompanied by twin Canadian cold-water lobster tails. 6930 Old Dominion Dr., McLean
Bastille Brasserie & Bar
Located in Old Town Alexandria, Bastille will serve a three-course Christmas Eve menu featuring recreated French classics. Guests can choose from a selection of starters, such as a warming lobster bisque de lobster, crème fraiche, brioche croutons and chives. For the main course, meat and seafood such as grass-fed Angus, slowly fried turkey breast and Atlantic halibut get delicious French preparations. The sweet life
Dolce Vita, a new restaurant that combines the cuisines of Italy, Morocco, Spain and Greece, which opened in DC’s Logan Circle last month, will serve customers on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. For the third year in a row, Sababa will offer its Middle Eastern-influenced Chinese menu, which it has called “Jewish Christmas.” Available for dining on December 24 from 17:00 to 22.00 the menu includes variations of classic Americanized Chinese food, such as moo shu breast, shakshuka “Szechuan” beef and sesame-spiced cabbage with ginger lime cream. Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, but brunch fans do not have to miss their favorite meal on the weekend.
