GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – It’s the weekend, and even though it’s cool, it’s endless family fun to enjoy. Take advantage of this cool weather and get some outdoor family fun in the snow. There are amazing activities going on around West Michigan and Maranda has a complete list of events to enjoy.

Frugthaven Isfest

Head out to Frugthaven Farms in Greenville this weekend and enjoy their ice cream party. This event will be filled with all the ice cold including ice skating and ice carving. Be sure to gather so you can walk the trails and enjoy the beautiful winter scenery or hop on a carriage ride to enjoy the views. While you are, enjoy a hot beverage from their coffee shop, and heat things up even more with a toasty fire. And of course, do not miss the chance to meet the ice sisters themselves. Ice fishing at Outdoor Discovery

Its fishing day by outdoor discovery with a winter twist. Head out to Holland to enjoy the family’s ice fishing day at Outdoor Discovery this Saturday from 6 p.m. 10.00 to 12.00! This event is great for all ages and will e a complete bang. All supplies will be delivered, so whether you’re a novice veteran, you’ll be ready to catch and release some fish this weekend!


Indoor Holland Farmers Market

If you are looking for a warmer weekend activity, the indoor winter market returns on Saturday, January 15 from 8 p.m. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Marketside Room at Civic Center Place. Families can enjoy all the fresh foods and products featured at this summer’s Farmers Market. Get fresh vegetables for your warm winter soup or even a hot chocolate or pastry. Find it all this weekend at the indoor Famers Market in the Netherlands.

Final Weekend of Bats: Masters of the Night

Grand Rapids Public Museum’s bats: The masters of the nights are coming to an end. Enjoy the last weekend by stopping by anytime this Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Explore the world of these creatures by hearing, smelling and seeing like a bat! This interactive exhibit can be enjoyed by all ages, so be sure to check it out while you still can. World of WInter takes place in the center of Grand Rapids now through March 6th. Every day hosts a variety of amazing family fun activities for kids and families. Enjoy this weekend the Ice Park with ice-cold games and other fun ice activities. You can also enjoy various art installations throughout the city or even some tasty food trucks.

Grand Rapids Griffins game

The Grand Rapids Griffins are taking the ice this weekend at the Van Andel Arena, and they need you to come and cheer on them when they take on the Manitoba Moose this Friday and Saturday. Both games begin immediately at. 7pm, but be sure to arrive early to watch your favorite Griffin’s player warm up, grab some delicious popcorn or ice cream and hang out with Griff.

Muskegon Luge Adventure Park

Muskegon Luge Adventure Park is another great way to get outside and enjoy this winter weather. There is something for absolutely everyone. Whether you just like to take it easy and enjoy a campfire, skate around the trails or even learn to toboggan, you are sure to enjoy the Muskegon Luge adventure Park!


Winter Wonderland at Fellinlove Farm

Walk among lighted trails and wooded areas while exploring animals and other winter fun. Check out Fellinlove Farms Winter Wonderland. This fun family event is located in the Netherlands and requires no ticket. Horses, goats, llamas, pigs and more are all happy to welcome you to Winter Wonderland on the Farm. Check it out on Saturday from 16-18.
