They all happen to be seriously Instagrammable …
By living in the UAE, we are fortunate to have both the beach and the desert on our doorstep. And while summer is fun for pool days and water parks, in the winter we love to quit and head out to the dunes.
Recently, we have seen an increase in the number of cool cafes and restaurants popping up in the desert. If you’ve eager to spend an evening under the stars sipping coffee and meeting friends, here’s six UAE desert pop-ups to discover.
Not a room, Sharjah
Thanks to TikTok, Not A Space has quickly become the hidden gem for winter evenings in the desert. The Al Faya location offers a great pet-friendly place to relax on a beanbag chair, enjoy a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and some light snacks. Live music and fire shows make up the entertainment, as well as stand-alone workshops such as Moon Painting on Saturday, January 8 (250 Dhs). By car it will take you about an hour to drive from Dubai, just take the E44 to the E611 and drive up the E102.

The uncommon, Sharjah
Also in Al Faya is The Uncommon, a new desert café pop-up with a large mirror that reflects the picturesque surroundings around you. The Instagrammable destination offers lounge seating surrounded by various mirrors and coffee served in sweet takeaway cups. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful and is a great place to watch the sunset. It is an hour’s drive from Dubai, by car take the E44 to the E611 and drive up the E102 to Al Faya.
