Episode 32: Novelizations vs. Light Novels, or Where’d the Pictures Go?

Angela and Kelly dig into the recent trend of prose adaptations, novelizations, and spinoffs of popular comic properties, from Boom!’s Lumberjanes novels to DC’s DC Icons YA series. Angela is as confused as ever about what a light novel actually is, so Kelly explains why they are not actually the same (at all) as these comics-to-prose wonders in the Western market. Plus, the girls get into so nitty gritty librarian talk about where to put comics novels and light novels on library shelves.
